In the Samara region, near the town of Chapayevsk - located in the southeast of European Russia - a railway bridge was destroyed. Information on this subject was provided by Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) on Monday.

A Russian railway bridge was blown up

The damage was allegedly caused by an explosion. In turn, Russian Railways said that traffic over the bridge was suspended due to "illegal interference by outsiders."

According to reports from Russian users on social media, no one was injured.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russians used the destroyed section of the railway line to transport military equipment , in particular ammunition produced at the plant in Chapayevsk. Which means the damaged bridge will either be repaired immediately or the army will have to find another supply route.

"Given the nature of the damage to the bridge, it will not be possible to use it for a long time," the intelligence service emphasized.

Earlier, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Herashchenko also reported the damage. The politician said that the metal structures were destroyed, but the concrete supports were intact.

Successful operation by Ukrainian intelligence

On the same day, HUR reported a successful operation targeting the Russian Ministry of Defense. It resulted in gaining access to the ministry's servers and intercepting classified documents.

The services reported that the analysis of the obtained data allowed the identification of many Russian generals, as well as other high-ranking representatives of the ministry.
